LRSD Don Roberts Elementary School deliberately lied to parents about an incident (suicide) that occured on campus.

A little before 1:00 p.m. on Monday March 31st, 87 year old Donald Goens pulled into the Kinder parking lot on the western side of Don Roberts Elementary School at 16601 Lamarche Drive. Kinder parking lot at Don Roberts Elementary School After parking in the lot, Goens called his daughter, Paula Caruthers, and had a brief conversation. He had been to a doctor's appointment earlier, in the day and must have received some bad news. By the time his daughter and her husband, Scott,  arrived at the school at 12:56 p.m., Goens had already gotten out of his vehicle and shot himself in the head.  Goens lived a short distance from the school. The police report indicates that Scott Caruthers called LRPD to report the suicide in the school parking lot at 1:05 p.m. The report states that it was a "horrific scene". At 1:59 p.m., almost an hour after Goens shot and killed himself in a parking lot at the school, the school sent out a text message to parents. They stated that an incide...

Records from state agency show LRPD is desperate for personnel and will hire anyone without a felony conviction

In May of last year we broke the story about two LRPD cops that were involved in a romantic relationship that errupted into domestic violence. You can read about that here and here .  Even more disturbing than the domestice violence, was the psychological state (suicidal) of one of the cops. Having an armed cop that is mentally unstable poses a danger to themselves and others is completely unacceptable. Not acting on information about that is criminal.  The Scott Administration LRPD tried to keep it all a secret, but their ineptitude prevented that. LRPD recommended to the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training  ("CLEST"), that they strip Jakari Lott-Henderson and Desidario Pullie of their law enforcement credentials when they allowed them to resign early last year. CLEST did exactly that this past week for Jakari Lott-Henderson. Desidario Pullie was decertifed in July of 2024 as he did not contest the CLEST decertification as Lott-Henderson did. ...

Meet Mark Ison one of LRPD's mercenary undercover cops

LRPD Undercover cop Mark Allen Ison  LRPD trys to keep their undercover cops a secret, but they have a hard time since they are really not undercover cops. When I was in junior high,  I had a teacher who's husband was a Texas Ranger. One day while in her class, we noticed that she was looking at a rough looking man in Hell's Angel looking biker attire in the parking lot outside our classroom. She rushed out of the classroom and ran up to the man and hugged and kissed him. My classmates and I were startled and wondered what was going on. Our teacher and that man came back into the classroom and she introduced us to her Texas Ranger husband that had been on an undercover assignment for the last several months. She had not talked with him or seen him while he was on assigment as an undercover cop. The thirty-six or so undercover cops at LRPD go home each night in a city issued ride to their homes and families mostly outside the safe city of Little Rock. They met other LRPD cops, ...
